If you need smooth and stylish bit 3D imagery, It's a good starting point, although you can magine how your inspiration can be slightly stifled by the software's constraints.
Believe if or not Octree, the authors of Caligari, are offering an upgrade to IV users which will knock an - as yet undecided - figure off the prke of the broadcast version. Unlike Caligari, Scala is not designed to work with the bit output of the board, at least not in its present form.
Although the lack of bit support is a little annoying, if perhaps predictable, it does mean that you could use your new shrunken Scala without the board as a display package or titter in its own right.
